Welcome to Eagle Crest Retreat, an oceanview property that borders East Sooke Regional Park.
This spacious three story log house sits high on a ridge overlooking the Juan de Fuca Strait and Olympic Mountains. Amid the bounty of nature that surrounds this unique vacation home you could be watching Bald Eagles, spotting Orcas off your deck or enjoying the deer that roam in this property of 11 very private acres. This vacation home has lots of living space. So whether you want to play board games with your friends or hide away with a good book you will find the perfect place. If you are a fan of outdoor recreation be sure to bring your mountain bike along with your hiking boots. In addition to the East Sooke Park trails, world class mountain biking trails are easily accessible from your Eagle Crest vacation rental home. Custom built with attention to detail, this stunning vacation home will inspire awe. The one-of-a-kind architect designed log home features a magnificent three story brick fireplace, a relaxing sunroom, mudroom and much, much, more… Rooms feature custom Oak and Douglas Fir wood floors, there is also an artistic element that includes carved eagle heads and a variety of etched and stained glass.
The main floor ‘Great room’ forms the heart of the home with three 55 foot Douglas fir continuous beams suspended across the apex of the structure. A broad floating staircase made of split rounds of Douglas fir leads to the upper level and an open loft area where a walkway connects a cozy reading corner to a library. On this level there are also two bedrooms and a bathroom complete with an old fashioned claw foot tub.
The ground level of this unique vacation home features a self-contained suite with bedroom, sitting area, kitchen, bath and private entrance in addition to a further living area with fireplace and attached multi-purpose room.
Master Bedroom
Located on the main level, the spacious master bedroom is furnished with a king size custom built B.C. maple sleigh bed. The bed is situated to take advantage of the ambience of the evening fire in the great room as well as the sunrise over the Olympic Mountains. The master bedroom also features a sleeping alcove with day bed that can be closed off from the master bedroom.
Upper Level Bedrooms
Two additional spacious bedrooms with private balconies are located on the upper level of this log mansion. One bedroom contains both queen and twin beds situated under their own skylights. The other bedroom features a king size bed. These bedrooms share a bathroom with an old-fashioned claw foot tub.
Ground Level Suite
The ground level suite features a bedroom with queen size bed along with a queen sized sofa bed in the attached sitting room.
